Oh my....

So today was the big day. I think I did way better than I thought I would. I held the tears in until I got back to the house. He was a brave little soldier marching into that room. The drop off was brief so I wan't around to see if he got to sit at that red table. I am sure I will hear about it tonight. We had a great time last night packing up his backpack. He wanted to utilize every single pocket and pouch that the backpack had (and trust me there were a ton of little zippers and pouches). I put $2.00 in there for lunch and he repeated back to me what we had already told him last night, "Only take the money out when it is time for lunch and only give it to the lunch lady. Don't give it to any other kids or bullies." Hey, you never know. I remember starting up a "sticker club" with a girl in the 3rd grade and, after giving her $20 I never saw any stickers and she was suddenly a stranger when I tried to get my money back. She acted like she didn't know me and then threatened to beat me up if I spoke to her again. Oh well.....
Our friend Hillary got married this past weekend. The wedding was at Blackstock Winery in Dahlonega. Wow- what a view. We actually lucked out since it wasn't that hot and it didn't rain. We got lost on the way up there and ended up on a dirt road with a one way wooden bridge. Wow- never seen one of those before. Anyway, I digress.... Hillary looked beautiful and the wedding was 100% customized for them. No cake cutting, no garter or bouquet toss, nothing too incredibly girly... It was perfect for them and that is what made it special. I am so jealous of the two week vacation they are taking to Honduras. I find it rather amusing that they don't have reservations anywhere along the way down there- they are just going to make it up as they go along. Man, that made me sweat to even think about it. Anyone who knows me knows that I am probably the least spontaneous person on the face of this planet. I wish I could be but I am just not. I am creature of habit and am happiest when I am at home with my family. All I want for Hillary and Nedal is to be happy and safe. I can't wait to see the pictures when she gets back. She has already told me that she will need help with a wedding scrapbook, so you know I am all over that.
Well, I guess I had better get to work. Hopefully this week will not include terroristic threats. Last week a client called and said he was coming up here to get his money and was bringing a gun with him. We locked all of the doors and prayed for the best. Luckily he never showed up. I can honestly do without that kind of stuff. My life has enough stress- trust me, I don't need more.
