Well, not much is new today. I walked into Parker's school this morning and felt the newness of the school year. They stared the new year yesterday which means that Ms. Amy has another pre-k class, so Parker is just in a room with Mr. Matt and Ms. Stephanie for the week. It was weird at the school because all of the kids have moved up into their new rooms and the halls are all newly decorated. It is sad to think that we only have 4 more days at this school. I love The First School so very much and I love knowing that Parker is right down the street if there were ever an emergency. Now, my buddy will be close to home which means that I will be traveling solo to work. No more special trips to Dunkin Donuts on Friday morning to enjoy bagels as we drive to school/work. One more reason why I hate to think of my boy growing up. Oh the sadness. And a warning to all who may cross my path next Monday, pay no attention to the streaked makeup and rubbed off mascara and eyeliner. It's gonna be a rough day.
In lighter news, I logged 2800 steps on the Fit last night. I also unlocked a rhythmic punching game that really kicks butt. I was sweating up a storm and I went to bed with the satisfaction of knowing that I did something positive for my body. Mike made a chart for the bathroom where each of us has to write down our weight EACH DAY to make us more accountable to each other. Our main goal? To weigh a little less each day. That seems so much easier than the BIG LOOMING GOAL of 60 pounds. I can't wait for Christmas time to roll around and me be a mere shadow of the size I was last year. I'm not gonna lie, it will be good to be healthy, but I want to be thin. I want to be able to wear shorts and little tank tops in the summer. I don't want to be ashamed to get in a bathing suit.
We also ate our first Dinner a Fare meal and it was delicious!!!! It was Pasta Primavera and it was so yummy. Roasted peppers, onions, tomatoes, and italian sausage over penne pasta. YUM! Tonight we are having the Finger Lickin Chicken with honey mustard. Baked, not fried. So excited. Mike has a softball game as well, so I will have some definite workout time after Parker goes to bed. Heck, I might even make it to my scrap room. Let's keep our fingers crossed.....
