It's Wednesday, right?

I woke up this morning thinking that it was Thursday. What a disappointment, huh? It is one thing to think it is a day earlier (i.e thinking it was Tuesday when it was really Wed), but when you jump a day, coming back to reality really stinks. So, another boring day of work. Parker had even more fun on day 2 of kindergarten than he did on day 1. He had homework last night and actually enjoyed doing it. I was really shocked that he did it all on his own. It was all about rhyming words, picking out the picture that doesn't match the others, writing letters. It was a very thorough packet of work. Go Ms. Harris! Mike asked Parker last night if he had gotten to know some of his class mates and Lil P replied, "Mikey, when we are in class we are working and learning. There isn't time to talk to people." Wow- that is the attitude I like. He has proudly proclaimed every afternoon, "Mom- I didn't have to go to the principal's office today!" Um, yikes. I keep telling him that he better never go to the principal's office. I am glad to see such a change in attitude in him. He asked Mike not to come get him so early in the afternoon because he likes playing with all the kids and doesn't want to go home early. It is so nice to live so close that that request is now a feasible option. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my boy happy.
Last night we had another dinner a fare meal- Hickory Apple Smoked Chicken. Wow- it was good! Whoever came up with the idea of Dinner a Fare is a genius. It has cut our food bill in half (at least) and we are eating really good meals. Not just spaghetti o's in a can, but honest to goodness meals. I am fixing to do round two and get 12 meals this time.
As far as weight loss and exercising go, I have finally started going down again. I had stalled out for the last week at the same number, but things are finally happening. My hip has been hurting really bad so it has made walking hard. If it persists I am going to go to the dr. This just stinks. It seems like every time I get into the fitness and weightloss frame of mind- something happens. I got a heal spur last year when I got on track. Ah, I just want to be fit and healthy again. At least we are eating better. Now I just need to establish a routine with working out.
Last but not least, I wanted to thank my best friend Angie for the card I received yesterday. It was completley unexpected but such a nice surprise. Ang, you have no idea how much it meant to me. I know how busy you are with little precious Patrick. Thank you so much sweetie.
Have a great day guys.
